The Journal of Environmental Research and Industrial Safety is a fervent supporter of the Open Access initiative. This means that we believe in ensuring unrestricted access to research outputs for the global community. Open Access allows scholarly research findings to be disseminated more widely, resulting in increased readership and greater impact.
Article Processing Charges (APC)
All articles published in journal are published in full open access. To cover the costs associated with various stages of article processing — including manuscript handling, editing, proofreading, online hosting, and archiving — the Journal of Environmental Research and Industrial Safety charges an Article Processing Charge (APC) for each manuscript accepted for publication. An APC of USD 500 applies to papers accepted after peer review. Invoices are emailed shortly after acceptance to the payment contact provided by the authors.
Support for Researchers
Recognizing that not all researchers have access to funding to cover publication fees, the Journal of Environmental Research and Industrial Safety has implemented policies to support authors from diverse backgrounds:
- Researchers from Low-Income Economies: The journal offers a full waiver or discount on APCs for researchers from countries classified as low-income economies. Authors who believe they are eligible for a waiver or discount should submit an application upon manuscript submission, providing the necessary proof of eligibility.
- Researchers Without Funding: The journal acknowledges that not all researchers have institutional or external funding. Authors without funding may apply for a waiver or discount on APCs, with each application evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- PhD Students: Understanding the financial constraints faced by PhD students and the importance of publishing during their studies, the journal allows each PhD student to publish up to two articles without APCs during their enrollment period, provided that the student and their academic supervisor are among the authors. Proof of PhD enrollment must be provided upon submission.
